A really good one. Commercial work, in a building being brought back into use.

Licensed, for the same reason: this is a building people will be taught in.

Half of the first floor
Built and in use, holding up to 50 people. It has the pottery studio, the fine arts studio and the resin epoxy studio, and doubles as the business equipping center during the day.
Ten maker spaces
computer lab, kitchen lab, 3d printing lab, cnc and laser machine lab and six more — the rooms Basic Work Ethics, Adulting 101 and pre-apprenticeship need. This is what support goes toward first.
It takes more than money.
A building this size needs more hands than a donation page usually admits. If any of this is you, we want to hear from you.
Ways to give
- Funding. The most direct help there is — and right now it buys an architect, a plumber and an electrician.
- Materials. If you supply, stock, or are sitting on an overage, tell us what you have.
- Corporate sponsorship. Ongoing support, with a standing place in the building. See membership.
- A Yellow Box in your business. Your customers fund it, and you earn a festival. See donate.
Equipment we need
Good used kit is as welcome as new. If your business is replacing any of this, it has a second life here.
- Computers for the office team. The admin side runs on them, and we are short.
- Computers for the student computer lab. So students learn on machines rather than waiting for a turn.
- Good quality cameras for filming. Several. We want to document the build and the classes properly.
Ways to work
We are open to volunteers. You do not need to be in the trades to be useful here.
- Trade labor. Skilled hands on site. This is a construction project run by trades people.
- General labor. Demolition, hauling, clearing, cleaning. Plenty of it, and it all counts.
- Painters and artists. Walls that need coating and walls that want a mural. Both are welcome, and this is an art studio — bring what you do.
- Marketing, photo and video. Photograph and film the students and teams at work, the art students, the festivals. We need the record kept and we need the marketing done.
- Department and festival managers. Lead the arts department and the artistic festivals — not teaching. We have master art teachers for that. This is scheduling, inventory, and being the person a student can bring a question to.
- Office help. The paperwork does not do itself, and it is the first thing that slips.
- Organizational help. If you are the person who makes systems out of chaos, we have the chaos.
